about

Today Tomorrow is a feedbacked guitar improvisation (Duesenberg Imperial guitar into a Guild Thunder 1 1967 amp) inspired by the fabulous Anne Hytta's hardanger fiddle improvisation "I morgon, Astrid" on the album Unamna (Simax 2022). Hytta's improvisation was, according to information obtained from her directly, an improvisation based on the two songs "I morgon skal du få gifta deg" and "Ho vesle Astrid vår". Both songs can be found in composer Edvard Grieg's Opus 66. (A lively description of Grieg's work on Opus 66 can be found here (in Norwegian): www.griegminuttforminutt.no/opus66/
